Notes
The 124 photos (6.88 MB total combined size) here are what we think are
the best of our photos.
We took over 500 photos, 74 'B Roll' photos can be
viewed on our Flickr
Site.
If you have trouble seeing
captions of vertically oriented photos, try putting your browser in
full screen
mode, usually F11 on PC's. You might also try the automatic slide show
if you have a fast connection.
The slide viewer has
been tested on Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2, Firefox
1.5, Opera 9.0, and SeaMonkey 1.0. You cannot bookmark individual pages
on this site, if you think you might want to bookmark pages, start at
this
unmasked address.
Place names are transliterated
from Greek. There is no standard way to do this, I have choosen either
common english spellings, such as Athens (really Athina or
Aθηνα) and Crete (really Kriti or
Kρητη), or I used versions that I felt
best
captured the correct pronunciation. You may see names elsewhere that
look similar but are spelled differently. If they seem phonetically
similar, they are likely the same place. The only way to be sure is to
go by the Greek spelling. But then there are often two Greek versions,
classic and modern!
The photo's darkness has been
adjusted to my preference based a monitor
gamma of 2.2. This is a standard monitor adjustment benchmark, you will
benifit by having your monitor adjusted the same. See this
