JOHN LOVELL REUNION

MEMORIAL FOR ANN PARSONS

John Lovell married Ann Parsons in Biddisham, Somersetshire, England 1834.

They immigrated to Canada together where they joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

They eventually moved to Nauvoo and then moved on to Winter Quarters with the Saints. They stayed in Winter Quarters for two years then moved back, with the Saints, to Kanesville Iowa. They lived in Big Bend,Pottowattamie, Iowa, on the watercourse known as Mosquito Creek.

There Ann died of Quick Consumption,4 December 1951. The location of her grave is unknown. Many people have tried to find something about where she is buried but the information has been lost to time and urban growth. Feeling a need to honor her and, in a sense, to reunite her with her family, it was decided to put a memorial for her in the Oak City Cemetery.

The monument will be located near the graves of John Lovell, Elizabeth Smith Lovell, and Ane Andersen Lovell. It will state that she was buried in Big Bend

It is hoped that this monument will bring the entire family together again as they should be.

Donations for this project can be made to the Lovell Family Organization, Box 496, Ririe, Idaho 83443
