In his will, dated 15.12.1873 when he was 'an inmate of King's College
Hospital, London', he appointed his brother Charles Wakely and his brother- in-law Thomas Creed the 'executors of his will and guardian of his infant children', and gave all his estate and effects of every sort and kind in
trust to convert same into money for such of his four children, Elizabeth
Loetitia (sic), Abigail Harriett, Ruth and Paulina should reach the age of
twenty one. He empowered his Exors, to carry on his farming business, which
they did as Ruth was farming Wantsley in 1881, with her cousin as her manager.
George Wakely died at Wantsley on the 9th January 1875, leaving 'under L800'.
