Banks
Most WWW sites for banks are well-designed advertising and
sales tools, and don't have much beyond advertising, sales, and
on-line banking services. (Virutally all banks offer on-line banking.)
However, some bank sites do have some redeeming features for those
of us not interested in on-line banking: Fleet
Bank offers original economic reports, Bank
of America has U.S. and global economic reports and indicators,
and Royal Bank Financial Group has
a great economics section.
Please note that as I'm not at all interested in on-line banking
(I really appreciate the benefits of having a real relationship
with my banker!) I haven't made special note of which banks offer
which on-line banking features; bank sites which offer personal
finance information appeal much more to me. Thus the listing of
banks on this page is a bit ecletic--the banks I use, banks I
recognize, and ones I've found interesting.
