Data and Statistics

This a broad category, made even more difficult by the ever-expanding roles of financial web sites; as individual sites branch out further they become sources for an immense amount of varied data and information. The sites listed here are primarily data sources rather than being general investing sites or brokerage firms. Thus for other data sources search this site for web sites whose descriptions contain the desired item. Many stock sites, for example, contain fundamental stock data and economic indicators seems to be everywhere.

The U.S. federal government collects and compiles an awesome array of data both practical and esoteric. A couple of direct links that contain a wide variety of data are provided as well as links to pages of links; it would be impossible to anticipate user needs and thus it is more practical to include links to links rather than making an unnavigable mess of this page.
