Unfortunately, the Web sites associated with the "personal finance" print magazines are disappointing as a whole. Access to articles is often limited to registered ($$$) users and sites are formatted in such a manner as to take a tremendous amount of time to load. It would be faster to just go to the newsstand and pick up the current issue.

Some sites do have free access as well as some special features that are worth waiting for--those are noted. However, most of the market news and information can be had elsewhere in a fast and free format--see Miscellaneous Media.

My two favorites are the Individual Investor and The Economist.

Barron's
A fee-based site associated with The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition. Claims to have comprehensive market and investing resources including global market data, personalized investment portfolios (who doesn't have these?), and advanced stock charting (with personalized criteria).
Business Week
Access current and past articles from the print magazine. Registration (free to print subscribers) required for just about anything of value previously in the print version. Free information in daily and investor versions. (News, commentary, investment advice, calculators.) Takes a long time to load.
Forbes
Selected articles from the print magazine as well as articles updated daily. No fee, no registration. Searchable. Several personal finance calculators.
Individual Investor
On-line news, research, analysis, and commentary. Industry analysis, mutual fund information, on-line version of print magazine with archives. No fee, optional registration. Good investor education section.
Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine
Articles and tools promoting investor education. No fee, no registration.
Money
No link for this site as Money still has their Web site with Pathfinder and I've heard that Pathfinder will be discontinuing its gateway in the near future. When things settle out (more permanent URL) I'll put in the link. See Yahoo for a URL.
Mutual Funds Online
Mutual fund databases and profiles. Current and past magazine issues. Registration (with fee) required to access the good stuff.
SmartMoney.com
News, information, educational resources and tools. Stocks, mutual funds, bonds. No fee, no registration.

"Journals"
The Economist
Free, registration optional. Read most of the content from the current print issue as well as a "library" of past features. Register and search archives for articles going back as far as 1995.
The Electronic Accountant
"Accountant's Web Magazine and Resource Guide." No fee, no registration. Targeted towards professional accountants. News, information, archives, financial and tax planning, continuing education and more. Takes a substantial amount of time to load. Be sure to scroll down.
