Financial Resouces on the Internet contains categorized links to on-line resources for personal finance topics. Categories range from newspapers to mutual funds to demographics to industry information and beyond. I'm actively constructing; look for frequent changes.
You're probably thinking, "The WWW needs antoher page of links like I need another hole in my head!." And you're right. However, at least from my point of view, this link site isn't the same as other link sites; it only has links that I feel are helpful and the links are arranged to suit my personal preferences. And it's much faster to load than most!
So now you're probably thinking, "Why clutter the Web with it? You can view and use it from your hard drive without the tremendous waste of bandwidth." The answer: I'm compiling the resource both as a school project (SUNY Empire State) and as a personal project--my mentor and I both need access. I've also a closet hope that some third party will find this reference of value.
Please start by reading About this Resource as it contains important information regarding the structure of Financial resources on the Internet.
In additon to the categorized and evaluated links I've also contracted to wrte two papers, a minor one on the current and expected availability of financial information on the Internet (a timely re-write of a similar paper I wrote 3 yars ago) and a major paper on the economic impact of the Internet. I will post these at completion.
Come back often over summer '99 and into fall '99 to watch the changes. And, please, e-mail me--your thoughts about the site, resources you'd like to see, links that don't work or don't have the resources I attribute to them, links I should consider including, etc...
