Wool Baseball Jacket

This jacket was made from Kwik Sew 2516, with a full lining added. The front closure was also altered from the original and consists of a hidden zipper with snaps to keep the flap shut. The outer fabric is a coat weight wool from Vogue Fabrics in Chicago, IL; the lining is a heavy navy satin. For decoration ribbons were edge stitched on and then two colors of decorative chain stitching were applied down either side of the ribbon lengths.

The welt pockets have ribbon applied to the welt after it is folded in but before it is stitched down. Decorative chain stitching was used on either side of the pocket ribbon.

The sleeves are decorated with three rows of cover stitch surrounded with two rows of chain stitch on either side.
