Each time you inhale visualize a bright white light just above your head. It’s bright like the sun but it doesn’t hurt your eyes. Its warm and healing and you can feel the white rays shining down on you.
From this white ball of light see a brilliant, clear orange come down from the ball and start at the top of your head. In your mind see that orange color and see it flowing and moving down your head and spine and then this orange color comes to rest about the same place as your sacrum or pelvis. Stay relaxed and visualize the orange color moving and pulsating as you breathe in and out there in your pelvis and the small of your back. If you have any pain or injury or even an uncomfortable feeling about these spots in your body, keep breathing and relaxing and send your healing breath to those places.
In your mind, see a small quiet river flowing in front of you. It flows smoothly and gently, with just a few ripples over the rocks on the bottom. You can be graceful and free-flowing like this water. You can be flexible and easy-going. You can be accepting of the curves and changes that your life brings. Water flows, moves, and changes and you want to do this with grace and ease too.
Bring your awareness to how you feel and give yourself permission to allow any feelings to arise that may naturally come. You have listened to your body today in your yoga practice, and now you can to listen to your feelings. Visualize yourself remaining relaxed and unattached as feelings freely come and go. There is no right and wrong to your feelings. There is no guilt associated with your feelings. Visualize yourself expressing emotions and still being loved and accepted. See yourself forgiving yourself and others if you have negative emotions. You have the right to need and want and feel, and to understand your emotions.
When you forgive yourself and others, it allows you to let go of the negative feelings and send them flowing right out of you.
You can return to these thoughts any time you feel stuck or unable to feel your true emotions.
