Train Control

Train Control is achieved using CVP Product's EasyDCC. All throttles are tethered right now, but perhaps RF throttles will be used in the future. Rail-Lynx (infrared control) was a close second and was seriously thought about since the UCW uses them exclusively. EasyDCC truly is easy to use and install. I spent three hours, most of that was cutting the plywood to mount the PC boards, drilling holes and trying to determine where everything should be placed. The photo shows the booster, booster transformer, and throttle bus interface board. Rather simple looking isn't it?

CTC dispatching would be nice, but that is some time away. However, the blocks will be constructed with dispatching in mind. Mainline switches will be controlled via central dispatching with all industrial and yard turnouts using ground throws. Signaling will also be in the future.
