FUN STORIES
Karen's
grand kids love to come to her place and play with the horses. Here they are
all giving Curley (our stallion) a brushing. He allows them to do anything with
him. As you can see he isn't even tied. This is how much he enjoys his
brushing. Some of her other grand kids and their friends like to drive him
around the yard. He is very willing to do what they ask. The grandkids are
getting older and they want to start showing. I will let them choose which
gelding they want to show. I'm sure they will have fun. They really likes the
horses.
Have Horse Will Travel
We sold one of our colts to someone who lives about 15 miles from the ranch. When they came to take him home, they put him in the backseat of their pickup with their kids to take him home. The kids said it was too cold to have him ride outside. He traveled with his head on the kids' laps all the way home, with no mishaps!
A True Friend
This is my story
of a true friend. My mom got sick and died when I was three weeks old. At
first I was put in a pen by myself. I had everything I needed, but I didn't
like being alone. So my people friends put me in with another mare (Candy) that
had a filly (Tiny Acres Fancy) and my Dad (Tiny Acres Centennial). The filly
Fancy, was four weeks older than I. Fancy became my best friend. Because of
her help I didn't need to be fed on a bottle. With Fancy's guidance I learned
where my milk pellets, hay, and sweet feed was located. She showed me where the
water was at also. When we slept, we're not far apart.
When Fancy was getting her hair cut for fair, she was afraid. So she would not be afraid, I helped her to learn her people friends would not hurt her. She stayed by my side when I had my haircut.
We eat, drink, and play together. We even tease my Dad. Because of Fancy I'm no longer lonely.
