Pocket, who was raised as a cow pony, is surprisingly a very loving mare. She loves children to rub and pet her, but this mare has come a long way. Her first owners had been really hard on her to the point of abuse. She used to be head shy, and if she tripped or if you fell off she would blame herself and freak out, expecting us to beat her. Pocket used to be a handful, but now I take her on trial rides, to indoor and outdoor arenas, cattle drives, and a couple mile rides to friends houses. She has become so soft in the mouth and overall happy and more willing to please.
